SportsDo is the new personal performance system for skaters everywhere

Street skating is growing in popularity – especially the big group skates that take
place every week in major cities the world over. They're real social occasions as
well as great exercise.
And now SportsDo is adding a whole pile of new fun to the experience. Whether I'm
free skating in the park or joining thousands of other skaters on the annual Paris-Versailles
run, SportsDo comes with me, feeding me real-time information about my performance.
Always with me
SportsDo runs on my phone, the one piece of kit I always have with me. It tells
me my speed, distance, calories used and many other stats, giving me live information
as I go. I can use the stats summary page or select a group of stats to show in
large format. Best of all, I can get SportsDo to announce my chosen stats at regular
intervals through my earphones. The SportsDo voice simply overlays whatever music
I'm listening to.
Sharing the experience
I'm using SportsDo Live to relay my stats live to the web so that friends and family
can drop in on my skating progress. I can also use SportsDo's Text Buddies feature
to stay in touch with other skaters by text message – it sends out regular messages
containing my key stats to anyone I specify. It means that I can hook up with friends
when we're all out and about without having to pause and thumb out a message.
Immediate review
SportsDo saves all my information and lets me analyse it on my phone using a range
of graphs and charts. This is great for giving me a quick overview of my performance.
There's also a neat route trace which shows my exact route, with colour-coded segments
showing my different speeds.
Permanent record
When I load my information up to the SportsDo portal – which is a painless, automatic
process – my activity details appear in my own personal log. The log also lists
the songs I was listening to during my session. If I've taken any pictures along
the way, they appear in the log too. Each picture is tied to the map showing my
route, so I don't have to remember where I took them. It's like having a "place
stamp" to go along with the time and date.
Relive the moment
SportsDo uses Google Maps and Google Earth to recreate my trips. I can relive any
route, accurately plotted against the map or satellite picture collection, or a
combination of the two.
I never really knew how fast I skated before I got SportsDo. And I never knew for
certain what distance I was covering, or the gradients of my routes. I'm now sharing
my speed records with other skaters and it's adding to the sense of competition
and all our enjoyment. Now I'm in touch with my performance it's made skating even
more fun.
