Hello
We are very pleased to announce that we've joined forces with Mountain Dynamics to create Ski Resort Location Packs for 51 ski resorts in the USA and Canada.
Location Packs are a new feature of SportsDo 2.1 which allows you maintain your own points of interest (POI) and download pre-built location packs initially for ski resorts but this will extend over time.
For more information about Mountain Dynamics please visit:
http://www.mountaindynamics.com/en/partner.php?src=108
We hope you love these new features - they really enhance the use of SportsDo in the mountains.

Jonathan, I am running SportsDo ver 2.1.0 build 26041. How do I get the location packs for ski resorts? I am going to Whistler/Blackcomb in Dec and Vail + Breckenridge in Jan.
Thanks for your help. I LOVE this product (SportsDo) and plan on talking it up when I am skiing this winter.

I have visited the Mountain Dynamics link and i see they have the resorts i am interested in available for $29.95. Is this what is needed and will we need a certain version of Sportsdo to be able to use these? Any chance this will be ready to use by December 15th?

Hi Scott
Location Packs will be available for purchase on our site very soon.
If the resorts you require are included in the Mountain Dynamics range then they should be available before the 15th December. The Crystal Ski resort are being mapped during December with the aim of having them available as near to Christmas/New Year as possible.
All other resorts will be mapped on demand or as activity data becomes available. We only need someone to ride every lift and ski every trail to create a Location Pack for a resort.
All the best

Jonathan, how does creating a location pack for a resort work? Do you work it out automatically if someone skis a resort and uploads their activity data? I'm happy to do a bit of work to help create a Location Pack for Val D'Isere in January when I'm there.

Hi Rik
You are basically correct; to create a Location Pack for a ski resort we need someone to ride on every lift, ski every piste/trail and mark each point of interest.
Crystal Ski are sending their reps out on our behalf to map the majority of the resorts in their brochure however for any ski resort not in their brochure we will be hoping to be able to piece together a resort pack from generally uploaded activities.
Any help creating and verifying Location Packs would be appreciated.
Best regards
J.
